There is a clear before and after for me. Before joining my mastermind group I lacked focus and accountability. After joining one I have a group of peers that help me reach my goals while I can help others achieve theirs. - Andres V. Washington, D.C.

ACCOUNTABILITY - -   Have you ever had a work out partner?  If you have, there has probably been a time when that partner showed up at your door, took the cookie out of your mouth, and took you by the hand all the way to the gym.  Wouldn’t it be nice to have that cookie-stealer there for us as we work toward our financial goals?  Whether your goal is to get out of debt, start a new business, or generally improve your financial condition, having someone there to hold you accountable to your goals will greatly increase your results. 

The power of a mastermind group can't be beat! Think about it; what other time have you ever been surrounded by a group of like-minded people who are dedicated to your success? The synergy of a group has some unexpected consequences though. SYNERGY - -   Imagine that Sara has a problem.  She has been trying to think of a solution to that problem for the last week, but keeps coming up empty handed.  When her weekly mastermind call roles around, she decides to share her challenge with the group.  George has had a similar problem, so he shares with Sara what he did to solve it.  James didn’t have any ideas for Sara, but when he hears George speaking, it makes him think of something that could work for her.   The conversation goes on this way for a few more minutes…. Each person thinking of a new idea as the topic evolves.  By the end of the conversation, Sara has an entire notebook full of potential solutions to her situation.  This is the power of a mastermind group!

GROWTH - -  We are only as good as our weakness.  As we travel along the path toward financial freedom, we will run into bumps along the way, and we will occasionally get stuck in the mud.   Often times, these bumps in the road are due to the mistakes we have made, or our weaknesses or shortcomings.   It can be difficult to face these issues.  Sometimes, it is difficult to even see them.  Other people, however, are often able to see in us what we do not see in ourselves; the good, the bad, and the….  well, you get the idea.  In the setting of a Mastermind Group, our mastermind partners can gently but firmly help us see our shortcomings.  Of course, this is done with compassion and with an eye toward growth.   With help of our Mastermind groups, we can make improvements in ourselves, and speed up our progress!
Your mastermind group will force you to address your shortcomings, step into areas of growth, and stretch your comfort zone.   These are uncomfortable times to go through, but go through them we must if we are going to improve our lives.
